Grand Reopening and Summer Reading 2026 Kickoff

Check out our newly-renovated library for the start of our Summer Reading Program!

There are lots of things happening today!

• We’ll have free copies of our Community Reads title as well as adult and youth Summer Reading stuff to hand out
• Genealogy Society Board members will be available to welcome visitors to the WCGS library with handouts and information about their upcoming meetings on the first Tuesday of the month and their weekly open research meetings
• The Friends of the Library will be on hand to pass out free copies of our Community Reads title and our Adult Summer Reading logs! We have a ton of prizes generously donated from local businesses, and plenty of excellent programs to look forward to, including our annual end-of-summer event at Staller Estate Winery
• There will also be a lot of great stuff for the kids, including a journey into the Land of Stories, where you can pick up your summer reading materials, check out the new Youth Department, and meet special guests Miss Esther from Parent Connections and Miss Laina from the Lakeland Animal Shelter.
