Cranes for Coping
Managing stress, anxiety, depression and sadness is hard. It's even harder to do alone. We are a small but mighty group of women who make up Breaking Bread Events and we want to walk alongside you as you navigate whatever hardship you may be going through. Each month we will host a class that teaches a new skill that you can use to help strengthen coping skills, minimize stress and stabilize your overall wellbeing. You can use these learned skills as a way to ground yourself and be more mindful during stressful periods. March's event is learning to make origami cranes! As part of a research study, professor Ashleigh Bruns, will be providing a brief before and after questionnaire. She will teach us how to make an origami crane as well as talk us through writing our own creative haiku. No experience necessary, all paper and instructions will be provided! This is a great opportunity to bring a friend, focus on your wellbeing and enjoy refreshments.
