Bricks, Butter, and the Blizzard of 1881: Annual Elkhorn History Walk
John Gunyon paints a vivid picture of the late 1800s, when Elkhorn was rising as a center of growth and industry. Walk with us as he guides us into the haunting story of the Blizzard of 1881—a storm that buried the town, halted the railroads, and left behind more than just snowdrifts. Our annual history walk starts at Hazel Ridge Cemetery, located at 701 W. Hazel Ridge Road in Elkhorn. Please wear comfortable and weather-appropriate clothing and shoes. In case of inclement weather, please watch our website for a cancellation notice.
As part of the adult summer reading program, attendees will each receive a free entry for our end-of-summer grand prize drawing!
