SUMMARY:Celebrate Our Veterans: Your Service is Part of Our History
DESCRIPTION:The Walworth County Historical Society (WCHS) in collaboration with the Matheson Memorial Library is hosting a Veterans Day Program. As we continue to celebrate the 250th Birthday of our country\, John Scholtz\, Walworth County Veterans Service Officer\, will present a program on our first veterans\, the Revolutionary War Soldiers of Walworth County. Scholtz provides a unique glimpse into the lives of these patriots and their service to our country. For generations\, men and women from our country have answered the call to serve. The historical society preserves their stories so that future generations will know who they were and what they did.\n\nA group photo of all veterans in attendance will be taken and placed in the Walworth County Time Capsule for those future generations. The Time Capsule\, which will be archived at WCHS\, will be opened when the United States celebrates its tricentennial in 2076. \n\nWe look forward to your attendance as we remember you\, we honor you and we thank you! Refreshments will be served.
