DESCRIPTION:It's a day of sunshine and golfing--all to benefit Twin Oaks Shelter for the Homeless! This outing is a four-person charity scramble at Abbey Springs on Geneva Lake--lots of fun and prizes for a great cause. Twin Oaks provides more than basic housing: our team also practices in-depth case management to teach residents how to break the cycle of poverty. While at Twin Oaks\, residents learn about financial literacy\, landlord-tenant relationships\, and parenting skills. We also help address potential obstacles they may have to finding and keeping a job. We believe that housing is only one part of the solution for homeless families. Case management services are a crucial tool to help families achieve stable housing as they leave Twin Oaks.
